Nice British traveling pistol with a rare American importer's name on it. Marking is A W SPIES. They were gunmakers, importers, and retailers in New York. Pistol has a German silver frame and under rib. Engraving is nice, and there is a capbox in the butt. It has about 95% original finish on barrel, and you can still see the pattern on the barrel. Grip is very good, but the checkering is very worn. Action is fine. Barrel is 4-1/2 inches, and the caliber is about .48. Nice overall.
